Tactical Nuclear weapons and European security: Worrying developments

As European States are surrounded in their geographical proximity by worsening geopolitical crises, worrying developments for European security related to nuclear weapons could just make things worse.
The terrorist threat
The presence of American tactical nuclear weapon stockpiles in some EU countries under NATO shared agreements (Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Netherlands) could become a growing problem for European security. These stocks can cause serious security crisis if terrorist would manage to enter these military facilities. Incidents happened already at the American military facility in Kleine Brogel in Belgium when some activists had been able to get into one of those sites.
Is there a real assessment of terrorist threats to those stockpiles at a time of worsening home grown terrorism with the potential support of enemy entities in the Middle East and North Africa region, especially after the Islamic State calls to organize terrorists attacks in European cities? Do European countries control the situation at these sites as they are under American or NATO control? European authorities should get better access to inspect theses bases in order to improve the transparency of the security regime. Read more
The falsification of European history : A dangerous path
The celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory Day on the 9th of May in Moscow became the focus of an intense campaign for rewriting history.
Vladimir Putin's has sent worldwide invitations to attend on the 9th of May 2015 in Moscow the celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of the Allies' victory in Europe after the Second World War.
The Baltic countries then promoted within European Union a boycott of the celebrations in Moscow, in phase with their aggressive stance towards Russia regarding the crisis in Ukraine. The objective is obviously to minimize the role played by the USSR during the Second World War for the defeat of nazism. This is unfortunate as these attempts come at a time of EU Latvian presidency and damage the role of honest broker this country should play during this period of responsibility. Un bilan sur l’environnement de sécurité de l’Union européenne après un été 2014 particulièrement meurtrier dans les différents conflits de sa proximité géographique peut être visualisé de manière immédiate sur une carte géopolitique (voir carte ci-dessus).
Les actions et stratégies successives des acteurs étatiques américains et européens ont abouti à aggraver la situation de sécurité de l’Union européenne au point ou l’Europe est de facto encerclée par deux grands arcs d’instabilités sur son flanc Sud et sur son flanc Est . La situation géopolitique actuelle est largement le résultat de la pensée euro-atlantiste, c'est-à-dire d’un projet européen conçu comme un sous-ensemble de la vision géopolitique mondiale des États-Unis, et donc largement aligné sur les intérêts des États-Unis comme leaders d’un espace géopolitique que l’on qualifierait de Grand Occident.
L’Union européenne et la plupart de ses États-membres sont pris dans un carcan idéologique qui dérive vers un euro-atlantisme exclusif et aboutit à la création de nouvelles fractures géopolitiques dans leur proximité géographique et à leur éloignement vis-à-vis d’acteurs étatiques au Sud (entre autres le gouvernement syrien) et à l’Est (le gouvernement russe) avec qui une coopération serait pourtant profitable aux intérêts de sécurité à long terme de l’Union européenne, même a minima selon le principe du réalisme politique.
